Thinking about booking a call with us, or already got one in the diary?
Here's a bit of an introduction to how things work, so there are no surprises and you can feel completely at ease.
First things first, this is judgement-free
However your space looks right now, we've seen it before, and we promise not to bat an eyelid. Clutter is emotional, not a character flaw, and our job is to help you make progress at a pace that feels right for you. You're in charge of every decision about what stays and what goes. We're just here to make it easier.
What happens on the call
Your first chat is completely free and takes about 15 minutes. It's simply a chance for us to understand what's going on, what you'd like to achieve, and whether we're the right fit for each other. No pressure, no hard sell, just a friendly conversation.
What a session actually looks like
Every session is different because every home and every person is different, we can discuss your needs on our call.
It doesn't actually matter how long you book, you only pay for what you use (to the nearest 15 minutes). A minimum charge may apply, we can discuss that on your call.
If you have limited mobility, we can do the physical work, we just need you there for the decisions. We can sometimes make exceptions where a client isn't able to be present for the session, but we'd need to chat about that before you book in.
We're happy to do some light tidying alongside the decluttering, though we're not a cleaning service.
What we can help with
We are not just Professional Declutterers, we are also Professional Organisers, so there are lots of different services that we offer over and above decluttering the rooms in your home. Things like:
- Paperwork (including Tax Return documentation collation)
- Life Admin and Organisation
- Remote Assistant Support
- Support with ADHD
- Digital Decluttering
- Moving Home
- Project Management
- Workshops and Talks
If there is anything in your home, life or small business that you need help organising, let us know. You might be surprised to hear what we can help with!
Services that we don't offer directly (but we can still help with!)
We can help with lots of different decluttering and organising projects, but there are a few things we aren't able to help with directly. Such as:
- One-off deep or regular cleans
- Waste removal
- Selling unwanted items
- Repairs and renovations
- Moving large pieces of furniture
- Shredding confidential documents (unless you have a shredder at home and want us to do it for you)
Even though we can't undertake these tasks for you, we can still help as part of our Life ADDmin service, to source suitable alternative agencies for you.
Let's talk money, transparently
We'd rather be upfront about cost than leave you guessing.
Our weekday rate for all services is £42 per hour (plus VAT), charged to the nearest 15 minutes.
Minimum charges may apply for in-person work, there is no minimum charge for virtual support.
Weekend, evening (after 6pm) and bank holiday sessions may be charged at a slightly higher rate, just ask us for details.
We offer a free phone/video call consultation. If you'd prefer your Clutter Fairy visits you to discuss your project before you book a session, we charge £25 (plus VAT) for up to 45 minutes. The standard hourly rate applies for longer consultations.
Additional charges may apply for taking charity items away but you can discuss your preferences for this during your session.
We will send the most suitable team member based on your requirements and they will ideally be someone local to you. If your local team members are not available on the dates that you want we may have the option to bring someone out of area to help. Travel costs may apply but we will let you know about these before you book so you can decide which team member is best for you.
We know it's an investment, and we think it's one worth making.
You'll get our full focus, our experience and our support, and remember, a cluttered home costs you more than you realise, in time spent hunting for things, money spent replacing items you already own somewhere in the chaos, and the stress of living somewhere that never quite feels like it's working for you. Investing in decluttering pays that back, and so much more.
Complete discretion, always
Nobody needs to know we've been round.
We don't have branded vehicles or uniforms, and if we bump into you out and about, we'll only say hello if you say it first. Your decluttering journey is entirely private, and anything you share with us stays between us.
Our booking form (which we'll send you if you want to go ahead) is a mutual NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) to guarantee your privacy.
If you're kind enough to give a testimonial or photographs, they'll be used only with your prior written consent.
If plans change
Life happens, and we get that. If you need to reschedule or cancel, just give us as much notice as you can so we can offer that slot to someone else on our waiting list.
We like to avoid charging a cancellation fee where possible, but we ideally look for a minimum of 72 hours notice. Even if you have to give us shorter notice, we'll still try and find other work to avoid a cancellation fee.
You're in safe hands
Every one of our team carries public liability and professional indemnity insurance, so you can relax knowing everything is properly covered.
If anything about access to your home might make a session tricky (think building work, pest issues, that sort of thing), just give us a heads up beforehand and we'll figure it out together.
Ready when you are
That's it, that's the whole picture. If anything's unclear, ask us on the call, we'd genuinely rather you felt fully informed than surprised later. We're looking forward to meeting you.
